I am a retired SPED teacher. I have said for years that testing and publishing companies are driving education in NYC. We know that children learn differently and teachers have different teaching styles. Scripted teaching does not allow for either one. Do the powers that be really think teachers are incapable of teaching without a script ? (rhetorical question) Sad state of affairs.
