A weekly podcast and radio show on WBAI 99.5 FM NYC, hosted by Leonie Haimson of Class Size Matters, and Daniel Alicea of Educators of NYC. We speak about the issues and controversies affecting public schools and public education in New York City, statewide and nationally.

After a brief recap of the news, Leonie interviewed Randi Levine of Advocates for Children about Mayor Adams' proposed cuts to critical education programs. Then she spoke to Allison Demas, an instructional coordinator in the DOE Early Childhood program about the long delays and backlogs in DOE reimbursement of city PreK providers that have put them into financial peril, and to Dr. Sanayi Canton, an educator who has been trying to establish a community-based education center for 3K and preK students in Harlem for the last three years.
