How convenient that the Tentative Agreement that we were being asked to decide whether to send to members to ratify (non-ratification was shown not to be an option) was still sitting with the lawyers, so we couldn’t read it, but Daddy Mulgrew knew what was best for us and “there were no givebacks” so trust leadership, and let the members decide. Of course telling members to trust us delegates. I voted against sending it to the membership, unread.

Nick, You put words to how I have been feeling since sitting in the Delegate Assembly meeting when the contract PowerPoint was sold to us. It did not feel like coincidence that the city and UFT came to an agreement on the morning of the very last day possible to send the Tentative Agreement to members before summer.
