Send a 'thank you' to the City council members that have already co-sponsored Intro 1099 that further protects NYC retiree healthcare. Encourage the other CMs to sign on, as well.
As a retired city worker with multiple health issues, I am very grateful to those City Council members who have signed on their support of Intro 1099 to keep our health care insurance as we were promised to have in our retirement. I wish more City Council members will join them. One of the reasons that I signed on to work for the city as a teacher was the knowledge that when I retire I would have the same health care that I had when I first started teaching.
