ok i am an editor at an online publication and these are confusing editing choices! you used a layered block quotes to denote what is *not* a quote and normal text to denote what *is*, meaning you’re doing the opposite of usual web publication practice. I suggest fixing it!
This Peter Goodman blog post is all over the place (again) and a sloppy mess (again). There is nothing Trumpian about a labor union organizing for strike-readiness as a tactic in fighting for racial, economic and social justice. In fact, that is the exact opposite of Trumpian. AFT, the national teachers union of which UFT is a member, officially resolved last month (July 2024) to participate in the UAW-proposed nationwide General Strike of all unionized workers in May 2028. Time to start gearing up!
