Educators of NYC's May forum entitled, See You In September: What Should Next School Year Look Like?, gathered expert parents, education activists, educators,and leaders within our union's caucuses to discuss what should be prioritized for the upcoming school year.

They included:

  • Dr. Kaliris Salas-Ramirez - CEC 4 President, Parent, Neuroscientist, CUNY professor

  • Leoni Haimson, Class Size Matters, Executive Director

  • Ilan Desai-Geller - Educator, MORE caucus

  • Lydia Howrilka - Educator, Solidarity caucus

  • John Lawhead - Educator, Solidarity caucus

  • Michael Schirtzer. Educator, UFT Executive Board

  • Camille Eterno - Educator, ICE caucus

  • Gloria Brandman - Educator, Retiree Advocate caucus

  • Michael Kane - Educator, NY Teachers for Choice caucus
