NYC Parents and Educators: Share your stories and reactions to the torrential flooding on 'Talk Out of School', WBAI 99.5 FM
I want to share your stories and reactions about how the recent flooding affected your school, commute and families on Sunday's episode of 'Talk Out of School'. Here's how.
Hey familia,
Yesterday, was chaotic! The historic, torrential flooding that affected the NYC area had a profound impact on us all.
I want to share our stories and reactions to the flooding on the radio show I co-host with Leonie Haimson, Talk Out of School, this Sunday.
Take a couple of minutes to vent or simply share how the flooding affected your school, commute, and families. Do you think the City and DOE response was appropriate?
You can send me an email at danalicea@gmail.com with an audio message/memo. I can read some emails, also.
It’s pretty easy to do. Use your voice memo app on your phone or computer and just attach the audio file to your email. I’ll add the clip(s) to our news segment on the flooding. I hope to add as many audio comments as I can to our news segment.
If anonymity is important to you, state your role and borough of your school.
Lastly, we hope to open up the lines during the last 15-20 minutes for callers who want to share LIVE! To call in to the WBAI studios, dial 212-2977.
Don’t forget to tune in on Sunday, 10/1, at 7 pm. We’re on WBAI 99.5 FM in New York City.
Or you can listen to the live stream at wbai.org.
Can’t tune in at that time? Catch our podcast here on The Wire or on Apple or Spotify.
