The new school year begins today amid sweltering heat, and many educators are concerned about the unsafe and unhealthy learning conditions of their students.
Rank and file UFT members are compiling a list of New York City public schools where classrooms do not have functioning air conditioning. We are going to share this information with the School Construction Authority and DOE to help get these resolved.
