We've read the fine print. And we're right. The contract says: ”Emblem will utilize UMR systems and follow UMR protocols for the provision of UM services.” We unpack what it means for denials & claims
This is horrendous. No thanks to those who chose to ignore how critical it is to see the redacted blocks and hidden financial agreements of any health coverage contract, not to mention a vendor as brutal as UHC. And this is just the beginning of what's being uncovered. Thanks for reporting on this Daniel.
I’m a retiree who formerly was in HIP, now called Advantage Care Physicians managed by Emblem, for decades, extremely happy, whether a reauthorization or a prescription refill or a special test, I get a monthly phone call to check on my health… fear mongering is not helpful, as I have written before, in the world of Trump locking up our health plan for five years allows us to breathe a sigh of relief, imagine the tens of millions facing losing health coverage or doubling in cost, make sure you vote on November 4th, the road ahead will be steep
You’re gaslighting again, Peter. This piece systematically exposes lies with chapter and verse from the very contract that was hidden from dues-paying members BEFORE elected leaders voted on it … while you use fear of Trump to hide behind the propaganda machine that lies to us OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
While our union president admitted at the DA he didn’t read the contract that we are analyzing and breaking down.
Mulgrew proudly proclaimed that his corporate lawyers read the contract. Klinger being his favorite contract reader — despite his many conflicts of interest.
Meanwhile, dues paying members were told they could not read the contract that affects their lives and the lives I of their families.
Make it make sense.
Your fear mongering goes like this … “if we don’t do this … the bogeyman will take the healthcare we’ve had for the last 40 plus years.” Mulgrew made it seem that we had 48 hours to pass this OR ELSE.
That’s bullshit, Peter.
You do the same with fabricated stories about everyone in opposition wanting to strike.
You and your patronage caucus of mainly paid, political operatives are the poster fear monger peddlers that we must protect ourselves against, locally.
Lest we forget, Mulgrew says this was in the works for 3 years now … before the Trump 2nd term.
We prefer to be fact-mongers, rather than people waiting for pie in the sky. And, btw, more people will be seeing how Trump's not the only person they should be protecting themselves from.
I feel like a freight train is barreling down on us. I wonder how bad it’s going to get for someone critically ill.
Magnificent clarification! Thank you so much!
